Frances Hodgson Burnett
Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849–1924) was a British-American author best known for her beloved children’s novels The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Little Lord Fauntleroy. Born in England and later moving to the United States, she drew inspiration from her own difficult childhood and love of nature. Her warm, hopeful stories about friendship, kindness, and personal growth have made her one of the most cherished writers in children’s literature.
