J.D. Salinger
Jerome David Salinger (1919-2010) was an American writer known for his reclusive nature and masterpiece The Catcher in the Rye. He served in World War II, which influenced his writing. His works often explore themes of alienation and loss of innocence. Salinger published nine books, including Franny and Zooey, and raised a family in seclusion in New Hampshire.
