Liz Hyder

Liz Hyder is an award-winning English author known for her rich and imaginative fiction for both young adults and adult readers. Born in London, she studied drama at the University of Bristol and previously worked in publicity and creative writing workshops. Her debut novel Bearmouth won the Branford Boase Award and the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize, and her more recent YA fantasy The Twelve won the Tir na n-Og Award for English-language children’s fiction. Hyder’s stories often blend adventure, heart, and magical or historical elements that captivate readers of all ages.
