Louisa May Alcott

Louisa May Alcott (1832–1888) was an American author best known for her beloved novel Little Women. Born in Pennsylvania and raised in Massachusetts, she grew up in a literary family and began writing at a young age to support her household. Her warm, realistic stories about family, friendship, and growing up have made her one of the most cherished writers in children’s and classic literature.
